Frichti, the trailblazer of the quick commerce industry since its creation in 2015, announces its future acquisition by Gorillas, the European on-demand delivery leader.

Frichti, a pioneer of Q-Commerce since its creation in 2015, has become a national leader in instant food and groceries delivery in France. Alven invested in Frichti in its seed round shortly after inception and co-invested in the following rounds together with Eurazeo, Felix Capital, and Verlinvest. Over the years, the company has expanded its offer to fresh groceries and more recently to private label products delivery. Frichti now serves over 450 000 customers in 8 key cities in France and Belgium, where the company has built a robust and wide-spanning operational network, a strong brand, and a highly loyal customer community in both markets.

Gorillas has expanded its activity in France by opening 22 stores in 5 key cities over the past year. Frichti’s acquisition enables Gorillas to build its local footprint and access a unique selection of multi-category products. Thus, from meal kits to private labels products, customers will beneficiate from better quality and quantity of choices, all over the country.

We both share common values, culture, and most importantly, we have a similar vision for the consumer. I could not think of a better fit, and I am excited for our path ahead as one joint company.” – Julia Bajoui, co-founder and co-CEO of Frichti

Gorillas and Frichti join forces to make one promise: offer fresh, locally sourced and high-quality products to millions of customers across Europe looking to eat and live well. Both of the partners provide unique irreplaceable value. On one side, Frichti provides Gorillas with its long-standing experience to build a sustainable operational network and strong technological infrastructure.
