One year after its seed round with Kerala and Fast Forward, Georges Tech, the French rising star in automated accounting, raises a 10m€ series A led by Alven, to win the European market

In 2016, Cômes Fouques created Georges in Lyon, driven by the vision of removing the red tape burden from freelancers’ way. To fulfil this vision, Georges’ team has designed a Saas product that takes care of freelancer’s accounting and tax paperwork in minutes by simply connecting to their professional bank account. The software then reviews every transactions, automatically tag revenues, fills in the paperwork and sends it the relevant tax administration. Doctors, lawyers, architects, and really any freelancers, can get rid of their accountant and gain real time insights into their accounting.

Georges is targeting a long existing market made of accounting consultancies and traditional players like BNC Express, with a touch of Machine learning and product design excellence. Georges has already taken a fair share of this market starting with medical professionals. As of today, Georges helps ten thousands of customers with their tax reporting burden for a flat fee of 24€ a month.

To fulfil its European ambition, Georges will use this new funding to double the size of its team : the company is actively recruiting 40 new profiles, including a task force of data scientists and developers.
