After the launch of more than a dozen rapid grocery apps in the US and Europe by mid-2021, the market has been consolidating over 2022. Alven participated in this consolidation as a historical shareholder of Frichti which merged with Gorillas earlier this year. Getir is a strong leader in Turkey and is present in 10 countries. The merger with Gorillas is creating a European leader and very substancial synergies are expected in the transaction, notably reducing the customer acquisition costs of the combined entity and optimizing its dark shops network and supplier relationships.
