Planity announces €10m Series B to cement leadership on beauty salon bookings

News

The French leader in beauty salon bookings, with Alven since its Seed round, will look to consolidate its leadership and continue develop its services

Launched in 2017 by Antoine Puymirat and his associates Jérémy Queroy and Paul Vonderscher, Planity (www.planity.com) has, in only 3 years, become the leader in beauty salon online bookings, with 1 appointment made every second.

The exponential growth of the company has enabled it to consolidate its leadership, with over 22 millions appointments managed since its inception, 7,500 beauty salons using Planity’s services, 350,000 certified reviews from customers and 100 employees across France.

Planity has developed a SaaS solution and a complete range of innovating services to enable both:

  • End-users / Customers to book their appointments online, free of charge, 24/7, in only a few clicks with the best beauty salons in France
  • Beauty Salons to increase the efficiency of their operation, by reducing by an average 50% the number of phone calls to handle, whilst reducing by 75% the number of no-shows.

With an optimized marketing & SEO strategy enabling substantial visibility to Planity, each beauty salon generates an average 5 new customer per month.

Reinforce end-user experience, further optimize the organization of beauty salons

This new funding round, led by Crédit Mutuel Innovation alongside historical investors Alven – an investor in Planity since its seed round, BPI Digital Venture and Eiffel Investment Group, aims at confirming Planity’s leadership position, further improving the platform’s tools and services for beauty professionals as well as end-users, and at anchoring Planity in end-users routines. The company, currently a hundred-strong, plans to double its staff within the next 12 months throughout France.

“Online appointment bookings with Planity has enabled our clients to restart their business following the Covid-19 quarantine, and to replenish their reservations for several weeks. There has been a true realization that beauty professionals need to digitialize, combined with an incredible increase by over 105% in the usage of our platform by end-users. This funding round will enable us to answer this growing demand and create an authentic ‘love brand’” explains Antoine Puymirat, CEO and co-founder of Planity.
